Titanic Steam Cranes Project
These old derelict steam cranes are two of the only three
of their kind remaining on Queen's Island
They date back to the early 1900's and they worked all over the
shipyard accessing places where larger cranes could not, including the
Thompson Dock where Titanic was fitted out prior to her tragic maiden voyage
Lagan Legacy are the lead organisation in partnership to preserve and restore
these historic steam cranes for future generations
Other key partners are Titanic Quarter Ltd, Belfast Harbour Commissioners
and Museums and Galleries of Northern Ireland (MAGNI).
