Lagan Legacy presents a talk about its work to the residents of the beautiful Roseville Apartments in beautiful Bangor, in Beautiful County Down.
Lagan Legacy's continuing work with community groups takes the organisation to Roseville Apartments in County Down's seaside holiday town - Bangor. Many stories are told, exchanged, memories shared, and some of the residents have old photographs of the shipyard. Everyone is particularly interested to hear about the "wee girl" from Bangor who launched a ship. In 1951 Irene McClurg left her Bangor family house to go to her office on Queen's Island. Next thing she knew she was launching an enormous whaler vessel, the Juan Peron.
