ENVIRONMENT

The 'Homeplace Project hopes to incorporate the use
of a number of renewable energy technologies subject
to assessment of their suitability and available funding.

Initial research has indicated that the project may be able to avail of Geo-Thermal technology in drawing energy from the bed of the river itself.

Solar energy is also a distinct possibility if the vessel can be correctly positioned to enable the necessary directional location of the  solar collection panels

Wind energy too is being explored and again, technical assessment will determine the suitability of this energy source

Ideally, the project will be able to avail of all three of these technologies and thus provide a study case and monitoring station for educational purposes as well as contributing to the environmental stability of the planet.
